All About Me

and my obsessions...

Hey everyone!

I'm Nikki and my primary passion is definitely theatre in all forms and facets - you can find me on the stage, behind it, painting it, managing it or just generally hanging around, trying to be helpful.

​

I have been a part of Original Scripts Theatre School since I was 7 (thanks Mum!) and since then have acted in too many shows to name, including some phenomenally fun Kidsfest productions, and now work as a Speech and Drama teacher at out new premises in The Common Room of The Arts Centre with Two Productions. We're always keen for new students and have classes for everyone aged 6 to 106!

These days you can also find me working with Top Dog Theatre, especially when the Outdoor Summer Shakespeare rolls around, and Elmwood Players - get tickets to our next show, Leaves of Glass, here.

In my spare time, I work at Christ's College as an English teacher, and also assist, direct, and run the hair and make up for our theatre productions - West Side Story is on in May and looks to be EPIC! Come and see what all the fuss is about as we join forces with Rangi Ruru Girls' School to present this classic musical. I have also been directing the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival pieces and running our Junior and Senior Theatresports teams for the Regional Competition run by The Court Theatre.

I love seeing what's on in the theatre scene in Christchurch and thankfully there are now so many awesome new companies starting up all the time, producing incredible pieces of classic and original work.

​

I also read a lot, love the movies and dining out, but this is starting to sound like a dating profile so I'll quit while you're still reading!
